Awareness Rally on One Health
The Department of Community Medicine, Akash Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Centre, organized an Awareness Rally on “One Health” — an IAPSM and ICMR joint initiative — under the theme “One World, One Health – United for Human, Animal, and Environmental Well-being.”
The rally, held from Akash College to Dharmapura, aimed to promote awareness about the vital interconnection between human, animal, and environmental health. The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sunil Kumar, Professor and Head of the Department of Community Medicine, with the support of the faculty members, Dr. Shivaprakash N.C., Dean, and Dr. Brijesh, Medical Superintendent. Students and faculty actively participated in the rally, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in achieving a healthier and sustainable future.
Guest Lecture on Organ Donation
The Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Akash Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, organized a Guest Lecture on “Organ Donation” and an Awareness Drive on 12th November 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the APJ Abdul Kalam Lecture Hall, as part of the RGUHS and AIMS&RC joint initiative.
Dr. Chinnadurai, Group Medical Director and Chief of MICU & Emergency Services, KIMS, Mahadevapura, and Mrs. Ranjini Shankar, Project Coordinator, Mohan Foundation, Bengaluru, were the resource persons. The session aimed to create awareness about organ donation, its medico-legal aspects, and to dispel common myths.
The program began with an invocation and lamp lighting ceremony, followed by a welcome address by Dr. Kumar U, Professor & Head, Department of Forensic Medicine. The Presidential Address was delivered by Dr. Naresh Shetty, CEO, Akash Hospital, and Dr. N.T. Satish introduced the speakers. Students actively participated in the discussion and pledged their organs, collecting donation cards.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Rudresh Y.C., Associate Professor, followed by a photo session.
Anatomy Gauntlet 2025

Anatomy Gauntlet 2025, held on 29th November 2025 at the Department of Anatomy, AIMSRC, witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who showcased exemplary knowledge, teamwork, and competitive spirit. The event commenced with registration followed by a vibrant and intellectually stimulating competition that tested anatomical understanding through innovative and engaging rounds. The judging session maintained high academic rigor, and the panel appreciated the remarkable performances and preparedness of the participants. The prize distribution and valedictory ceremony marked a proud moment as students were felicitated for their achievements, dedication, and sportsmanship.
The event was a resounding success, marked by active involvement, smooth coordination, and a lively academic atmosphere. We extend our appreciation to the faculty team, volunteers, and all participants whose collective effort transformed Anatomy Gauntlet 2025 into an enriching and memorable experience. With gratitude and pride, we celebrate the success of this event and look forward to many more opportunities to inspire learning, collaboration, and academic excellence.
Village Adoption Program at Muddanayakanhalli
Dept. of Community Medicine, AIMS & RC, in association with Akash Hospital, organized a Village Adoption Program and formally adopted Muddanayakanhalli Village.
As part of this initiative, Akash Hospital Health Cards were distributed to all families of Muddanayakanhalli Village to ensure continued access to healthcare services.
The program was inaugurated by Principal Dr. Shivaprakash Sir and District RCH Officer Dr. Seema Rudrappa, Bengaluru Rural District, in the presence of the Gram Panchayat President and members. The dignitaries distributed Akash Health Cards to the beneficiaries and addressed the gathering.
Following the inauguration, a health camp was conducted by the medical team from Akash Hospital, providing healthcare services to the villagers.

Akash International School 16th Annual Day 2025–26
Akash International School celebrated its 16th Annual Day for the academic year 2025–2026 with great enthusiasm at the AGI Auditorium, under the inspiring theme “Legacy of Legends – A Royal Journey into India’s Cultural Brilliance.”
The programme was graced by Sri Seemant Kumar Singh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, as the Chief Guest.
The event was conducted under the esteemed guidance of Shri K. Muniraju, Founder & Chairman, Smt. Pushpa Muniraju, Chairperson, Shri Amar Gowda, Vice Chairman and Shri Akash Muniraju, Director, Akash Group of Institutions.
The celebration commenced with a welcome address followed by the lighting of the lamp. The Principal’s Address and presentation of the Annual Report highlighted the school’s academic achievements and milestones. An Awards Ceremony was held to recognize and honour outstanding student performances.
The cultural segment showcased vibrant and captivating performances by students, reflecting India’s rich cultural heritage and traditions. The Chief Guest was felicitated during the programme, followed by the Vote of Thanks. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
The Annual Day celebration beautifully reflected the institution’s commitment to holistic education, nurturing excellence, values, and all-round development among students.
