Report on CME Programme – Nexus’26
The Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme Nexus’26 was successfully organized with great enthusiasm and active participation from faculties and students. The programme officially commenced at 10:30 AM, marking the beginning of a day dedicated to academic enrichment and collaborative learning.
The distinguished guests for the event were Dr. Brijesh K, Medical Superintendent, Akash Hospital, and Prof. Chaithra K R, Principal, AHS and PMS. Their gracious presence added prestige to the programme. The esteemed speakers for the day were Dr. Prashanth G Patil, Professor and HOD, department of Radiodiagnosis and Mrs. Shibina Chief Radiotheraphy technician, whose expertise and insights greatly contributed to the academic value of the event.
The programme began with a warm welcome address, followed by a brief speech highlighting the importance and objectives of the day. The formal inauguration was then conducted, setting a positive and scholarly tone for the proceedings.
The first academic session was delivered by Dr. Prashanth, who presented an informative and engaging talk on Role of Imaging in Breast Cancer Detection. His session was highly interactive and enriched the participants with updated knowledge and practical insights. The session was followed by a snack break at 12:00 PM.
After the break, a lively and thought-provoking skit was performed by the 1st year MIT and RTT students. The skit creatively conveyed important messages on early diagnosis, combining education with entertainment and receiving appreciation from the audience.
Subsequently, Mrs. Shibina delivered her presentation, which was well-structured and informative. Her session provided valuable perspectives and further strengthened the academic essence of the programme. The morning sessions concluded with a lunch break at 1:30 PM.
Meanwhile, the judges, Dr. Mythreesha, Professor and Dr. Harikiran, Professor from Department of Radiodiagnosis evaluated the model-making and poster-making competitions conducted as part of Nexus’26. The competitions showcased the creativity, scientific understanding, and teamwork of the students.
Post lunch, the programme resumed with oral presentations by students. Participants confidently presented their topics, demonstrating in-depth knowledge and effective communication skills. This was followed by an engaging quiz competition, which generated excitement and encouraged healthy academic competition among the students.
The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners of various competitions, recognizing their hard work and excellence. The event ended at 4:30 pm on a grateful note with the vote of thanks, expressing sincere appreciation to the dignitaries, speakers, judges, organizing committee, and participants for making Nexus’26 a grand success.
