World Cancer Day Awareness Session
The NSS Unit of Akash Global College of Management and Science organized an awareness session on the occasion of World Cancer Day on 24th February 2026 at 11:15 AM in the Seminar Hall.
The session, titled “Healthy Women, Healthy Future: Preventing Cancer Through Knowledge,” was conducted exclusively for girl students with the objective of creating awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and the importance of regular health check-ups.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Kala K, MBBS, MS (OBG), FFM, Professor & Senior Consultant, AIMS & RC, delivered an insightful talk on women’s health, common types of cancers affecting women, early warning signs, preventive measures, and the significance of timely screening. She emphasized the role of awareness, healthy lifestyle choices, and periodic medical consultations in reducing cancer risks.
The session was highly informative and interactive, with students actively participating and clarifying their doubts. The program was coordinated by Mr. Khaleelulla S A, NSS Program Officer, under the leadership of Dr. Channaveere Gowda B N, Principal & Director.
The event successfully created awareness among students and reinforced the importance of preventive healthcare for a healthier future.
